Lot's of work done today.

Update [2007-5-19 20:27:52 by lm]: Updated with stuff. Not very interesting stuff, mind you. Just stuff.

I finished half the stone wall I'm building. I would of finished it but I ran out of stones. It'll take a month or so to accumulate enough stones to finish the deed. As part of this process I moved about fifty gallons of dirt out back to under the porch. I'm going to need a good deal more before the ground there slopes away from the foundation rather than towards it. Just last month I got enough dirt under there to soak up the ground water from all but the hardest of rains so that it doesn't come into the basement. But I'm not stopping until the water is flowing away from the house.

I also went grocery shopping and bounced out to the hardware store for a new string trimmer and a few hundred pounds of gravel. The gravel got spread out along the base of the bits of the wall that I'm finished with.

But I've got this thing which is still undone. It would have been last night but random events keep interfering. Maybe tonight.

Vespers was beautiful as ever. I came to tears. If only I knew the tears were coming for the right reasons. Afterwards, I had my confession heard. I think my priest is too easy on me. Maybe that is just an indication that I am too hard on myself. In any case, he certainly has to get bonus points in the divine accounting for comparing a situation of mine to to that of one of the characters in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Now I have an excellent excuse to watch this film.

Dinner was McDonald's to go. They screwed up my order. Figures.

Now I'm going to try to and find some quality moping time. Hopefully, it will be the right type of moping whereby justice is brought to the soul rather than the self-pitying misery that I usually achieve.
