My fucking ISG but it's tedious. The instructor is manic in a somewhat grating sort of way, the material is straightforward, and as usual I get the exercises done in 5-10 minutes then sit bored for the rest of the half an hour we're allowed ("so you can have a go at most of the questions, I don't expect you to finish them all"). To cap it all off there's no canteen (we were handed luncheon vouchers, so at least lunch is paid for) and the machines are locked down tight - no net access, no games, and while the instructor is going through a lesson they're slaved to his machine. That does at least mean that I'm not squinting at a display at the front of the room I guess...
Still, only today and tomorrow left of this course, then I'm on a different one for Thursday and Friday. Of course that's in the same place, with the same instructor, but should at least involve some programming. It's also in pl/sql which I'm pretty new to, but given how challenging this one is at the moment I don't hold out much hope of being stretched...
On the plus side I should be meeting up with Chinese Girl tonight for some drinks. On the down side I was up fairly late last night chatting with $girl, then had some trouble getting to sleep; some of the subject matter was disturbing. Should've known she'd be somewhat 'damaged', almost everyone I'm attracted to turns out to be in one way or another, along with a good percentage of my friends. Either it's me and I just have a sense for them, or almost the entire human race is screwed up...
Anyway, enough procrastination, time I was off - that course isn't going to bore me if I'm sat here.
